![]() ![]() ![]() These ancient foes like to dig and move underground with the only thing standing outside of the ground being their latern on a stick, only getting out from time to time, whenever they spot a player, they instantly will seek cover by summoning a hoard of wither and normal skeletons (think of this like a mini undead raid just for you) to battle for them since this zombie tipe is actually kinda weak, and as a consequence of this, everytime they get hit, they will retreat underground and will begin to move to another spot in the environment (even tought they might retreat even if they didn't got hit). The original concept description is as follows:įound rarely in soul sand valleys, these zombies are rumored to be ancient builders who tried to look too deep into the properties of soul sand and the wither effect, cursed to travel only in the company of a latern containing their corrupt soul, some even dare to say that the evoker was the result of ancient illagers being fascinated after hearing stories about these creatures. This time i decided to post some Minecraft models i made a while ago!, since in my welcome arc post ( here) i wrote about minecraft modeling (no way) and ideas.įor this first edition of "models that i found in the basement", i'm presenting to you The necromancer, a mob created for a contest centered around creating the best concepts for a new zombie type to be added into the game, even coming in third place at the end!!. Hello there chosters (sounds better than co-hosters)! The pallete was an odd choice since i don't think you find these colors anywhere else in mc, kinda gives the residue some level of uniqueness i suposse.Īnd that's it for this post, see you on the woodside!! □ I don't have much to say for this other than i learned a lot making this one, like making more detailed texturing, learning how models animate and such. (as a small easter egg, if you give the residue a potion of poison, every mob that it possesses, instead of hurting it, will give the mob the ability to poison every mob it attacks, in case of creepers, it will act like a splash posion potion when it explodes) Now in the case you're asking how to know wich buff the residue will give to its host, simple, the buff is random when the residue is untamed and hostile, but when its tamed, just give it a potion with the effect of your choice, and it will always give that effect to the mob it possesses until a new potion is given. However, the residue is tameable if some magma cream is used, and when tamed, it will help the player in battles possessing a nearby mob making it passive to the player but hostile to the other mobs, and of course, giving it a buff in the process, only downfall being, that the mob that it will choose is totally random, so be prepared to have some quirky moments whenever you are fighting allong with your goo-based friend. Often found in swamps and caves, the residue is a tiny hostile mob the size of a bee, however, it will never attack directly, instead, it will possess nearby mobs like zombies, skeletons, etc, giving the host a buff as long is it possessed, however, every mob will have an aspect of its mechanic changed with the buff the residue gives it, for example, if a residue gives a creeper speed, the creeper fuse time will be shorter and so being near it is more dangerous, or if it gives a zombie strength, there will be more chances of armored zombies spawning near it, only when the host is killed, the residue will come out trying to search for another mob to possess until its killed (because yes, you can kill a ghost and send it to the after-afterlife) Sadly i couldn't find screenshots for the beta design, wich had less detail and looked very derpy compared to the final one. ![]() The residue was again another mob for a contest, it was my first ever Blockbench model!. This time i have the pleasure to show you a ghostly fella: The residue, it's more ectoplasm than anything, and looking back at both the necromancer and this one, seems like i love making annoying mobs that don't attack you directly (this is specially true in the necromancer, hence his rareness, low health and a "good reward" in my eyes, however maybe something better could be done with the concept rather than a nether evoker, spoiler: yes, it could). I've come here again to finally post the other part of my old mc models that were found in my laptop basement. ![]()
